Christmas Project in Hawaii

Because of COVID restrictions, we again did not have a party for Fr. Phil Harmon's

homeless transition housing project at Kauhale Kamaile in Waianae.  There were

17 families including 56 children (under age 18) who we provided gifts for.

Although many hands were involved, on December 17,, we sent a small group including Dame Almoner Joanne Tachibana and Brother Terry. Lili Shintani came in place of her father Knight Alan who could not make it.  Dame Dr. Shirley Davenport also brought gifts but could not stay for photographs.

We provided age-appropriate toys for the children and bags of rice some canned goods and towels and other sundry items for each family.

Construction of Mission House in Bicol

KOOSJ has been instrumental to the completion of the Mission House in Bicol through the partnership with Menschville Missions. This facility will house in missionaries from all over the world for Mission-care for free, at the same time, it will also be an income-generating project as a transient house for the non-missionaries so that Menschville Missions become more sustainable while working on some other projects.

Reaching out to the Bridge of Hope

During this festive period, we felt the urge to help Bridge of Hope Celebrate their Christmas with some foodstuffs. The home is run by Mr & Mrs. Honey Mathenge. Currently, there are 125 Children, where 61 are in Primary Schools, 40 in Secondary Schools 24 are in colleges & universities. The Orphanage is located in GilGil, Nakuru County, which is approximately 150 Km from Capital Nairobi.

We bought Rice Maize Flour, Wheat flour, Vegetable Cooking Oil, Fresh Juice and Biscuits.

It was a festive season and they were short of food.   We needed to put a smile on these kid's faces, that they may feel like any other children who indeed felt loved.

Continued Support to African Orphanage: Estel Children's Home, Kenya

On November 16, 2021, we visited Estel Children's Home after we had

they had been given an eviction notice over rent arrears. The Orphanage

is managed by the Founder Esther Waweru. Estel has a total of 55 Children,

if which 55 of them are in High School

and the rest are in Primary school

and Kindergarten.

The Orphanage is located in an area

called Kayole, in Nairobi City.

On this occasion, Mrs. Waweru

requested us to purchase Foodstuffs

for them. And so we bought, Rice,

Maize flour, Wheat flour, Toilet rolls

and Sugar.

The Orphanage had been given an

eviction notice over accumulated

rent arrears and so all the funds that

the Orphanage was receiving were going towards rent.

This meant a shortage of foodstuffs for the Home. They were grateful we came through.
