The Knights of the Orthdox Order of St. John Russian Grand Priory carries on a nearly 1000 year tradition of service to Humanity. Its traditions extend back to 1048 with the Knights Hospitaller of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem which started the first hospitals during the crusades to take care of the sick and injured regardless of race, creed or ability to pay.
The Priory of Hawaii made contributions to the Hawaii Food Bank, the Maui Food Bank, the Food Bank, Kauai Food Bank and the Hawaii Food Basket (Big Island) to help with their COVID 19 response. Knight Alan Shintani's wife Jennifer has been volunteering regularly at one of the food distribution centers.
